Golf Courses

Quinto do Vale Golf Resort:
This course is on the opposite side of the river from Costa Esuri in Portugal. One of Seve Ballesteros' designs with 6 of each! (6 par 5's, 6 par 4's and 6 par 3's). With superb views from the hilltop clubhouse, the course winds down the hill and out towards the Guadiana river. A challenge for even the best golfer, there is plenty of water to negotiate around the course, starting with the par 5 first hole which has a green protected by a lake at the front and inviting bunkers at the back! someone off their game would consider Seve a sadist, but he mollifies you with some relatively easy par 3's later on. This is a course which makes you want to return time after time to take up the challenge.

COSTA ESURI Golf Resort:
A 36 hole Golf Complex just over the Portugal/Spain motorway bridge that spans the Guadiana river, it boasts two 18 hole courses of completely different character:

The WEST COURSE is long, over 7300 yards, with very wide fairways and exquisitely shaped greens, and spectacular views to Portugal and the Guadiana river. A great course for big hitters, with only one of the par 3's at under 200 yards, and that is 175 yards all over water! The course rewards a well struck golf ball with links type bounce on the fairways, and receptive but fast greens with subtle slopes.

This course has championship credentials, and it wont be long before some big tournaments are held there.

At 6700 yards the EAST COURSE at Costa Esuri is not short but is spectacular in its own right! It uses the natural contours of the countryside to provide a real challenge to all levels of a golfer. Many holes have a "WOW" factor and it is thoroughly recommended to read Chris Truter's (Costa Esuri's Professional) playing tips for the best results.

After your round you can relax and unwind on the clubhouse balcony, take in some sun and beer, and be looked after by very helpful staff.
